Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo
The Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo was held October 3-5th at the O.D. Tucker Arena in Rosenberg, Texas. Chet Weitz took all-around cowboy and a check for $2,728 for competing in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also tied for nineth with heeler McCoy Profili for their 5.1 run for another $1,058 and tied for seventh in the tie-down roping with his 8.6 second run for an additional $1,669. PRCA Permit Finals
The PRCA Permit Finals were held October 3-5th at the Extraco Coliseum in Waco, Texas. For three rounds the top permit holders competed to see who would come out on top. Permit holders are not card holders and this finals are limited to those still on their permit. This event is sometimes confused with the Resistol Roundup however rookies are those on their first year of their card, not their permit. Sumter County Fair Rodeo
The Sumter County Fair Rodeo was held October 4-5th at the Sumter County Fairgrounds in Bushnell, Florida. All-around cowboy and $1,114 went to Dawson Cantu who competed in the tie-down roping and team roping. He also took third in the team roping paired with Sam Morgan for their 7.0 run for another $795 and fifth in the tie-down roping for his 10.6 run for an additional $319. Waller County Fair & Rodeo
The Waller County Fair & Rodeo was held October 2-4th at the Waller County Fairgrounds in Hempstead, Texas. Christopher Fleet took all-around cowboy and a check for $2,267 by entering the saddle bronc riding and team roping. Leighton Berry took first in the bareback riding for his impressive 90.5 point ride on Secret's Out (Pete Carr Pro Rodeo) for $1,951.
