With $90,000 in payouts it was no surprise that top rodeo athletes made the drive to Newton, North Dakota June 14-15. There was a tie in the bareback riding with both Orin Larsen, on Harper & Morgan Rodeo Co's Sippin Firewater, and Rocker Steiner, on Bailey Pro Rodeo's Little Bug scoring 86 points for first. There was also a tie for first in the steer wrestling with Billy Boldon and Landon Sivertsen both having 4.5 second runs. Guy Howell/Riley Curuchet took first in the team roping with their 4.6 second run. In the saddle bronc riding Ty Manke took first with an 82.5 point ride on Bailey Pro Rodeo's Capone. Trey Young has a quick 9.9 second run for first in the tie-down roping. In the barrel racing Summer Kosel took first with a 14.54 second run. In the bull riding Brody Hasenack took first with a big 85.5 points on Bailey Pro Rodeo's Ice Man. All-around cowboy went to Tyler Byrne who competed in steer wrestling and team roping.
