Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo

Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo came to Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend January 10-11th at the Wells Fargo arena. For two days cowboys competed on some of the toughest stock and the cowgirls whipped around the barrels in the hopes of taking away a first place win. Clay Jorgenson spurred one out for 86 points on Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo's Collect Call for first place in the bareback riding. In the saddle bronc riding Weston Patterson took first with his 88 point ride. on Three Hills Rodeo's Harry Rocks. Emma Jordan took first in the barrel racing with her fast 14.73 second run. And in the bull riding, Rawley Johnson took first with his 84.5 points on Championship Pro Rodeo's Two Guns.

The next stop for the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo will be Raleigh, North Carolina on January 26th.


Bareback Riding:

1. Clay Jorgenson, 86 points on Muddy Creek Pro Rodeo's Collect Call, $5,668; 2. (tie) Strawbs Jones and Luke Thrash, 85, $3,779 each; 4. Brayze Schill, 84, $2,078; 5. (tie) Orin Larsen and Kash Martin, 83, $1,134 each; 7. (tie) Tanner Aus, Andy Gingerich and Tim O'Connell, 81, $441 each.

1. Weston Patterson, 88 points on Three Hills Rodeo's Harry Rocks, $5,725; 2. Tegan Smith, 87, $4,389; 3. Jarrod Hammons, 86.5, $3,244; 4. Riggin Smith, 85.5, $2,099; 5. Cable Wareham, 83, $1,336; 6. (tie) Sterling Crawley and Cort Scheer, 81, $859 each; 8. Dawson Dahm, 80, $572.


Bull Riding:

1. Rawley Johnson, 84.5 points on Championship Pro Rodeo's Two Guns, $5,889; 2. Mason Moody, 82, $4,566; 3. Cody McElroy, 81.5, $3,432; 4. Coy Thorson, 80.5, $2,299; 5. (tie) Blaine Beaty and Toby Hale, 75, $1,354 each; no other qualified rides. (all totals include ground money).
