Cinch Rodeo this weekend saw some familiar 2023 WNFR faces with Hayes "the pirate" Weight, Trey Holston and Kade Bruno in the lineup. Weight had a 87 points ride on Championship Pro Rodeo's Express Lane and took first place in the bull riding. In the bareback riding, Sam Petersen took first place with an 86 points ride on Championship Pro Rodeo's Happy Trails. In the saddle bronc riding Cort Scheer spurred one out for 86 points on Three Hills Rodeo's Big Country to take home the first place check. Staying true to its name of the World's Toughest Rodeo, these bulls and broncs showed no mercy on the cowboys. Only five bull riders had qualified rides in round one with no qualified rides in the first performance bonus round. The broncs played a little nicer and Jacob Lee was able to walk away with a performance bonus round for his 86 point ride on Three Hills Rodeo's Hopes & Dreams.

The cowgirls were not about to let the guys have all the fun and were on fire around the barrels. Shilyn O'Brian had an impressive 13.0 sec run.
