The Eagle Rodeo is a fairly newer Idaho rodeo that started in 2001 as part of the Eagle Fun Days. It became a sanctioned rodeo in 2011 under the Idaho Cowboy Association rodeo but in 2016 became a PRCA rodeo attracting cowboys and cowgirls looking to score checks to help secure a spot in the Wrangler NFR. By 2018 the rodeo had grew in size to the point it needed to be relocated to an even larger location, but even as it has grown, Eagle Rodeo has continued to be a fan favorite of Idaho while maintaining its small town identity.
In the bareback riding Cooper Cooke took first with an 88 point ride on Western Rodeos' Unforgiven. Kade Bruno took first in the saddle bronc riding with a big 87.5 point ride on King Rodeo and Wentz Bucking Bulls' Oh Toodles. Hailey Garrison took first in the barrel racing with a quick 17.53 second run. In the bull ruding there wre only four qualified rides. Justin Houston, took first with an 87.5 point ride on Western Rodeos' Durfee's Nightshift. All-aroun cowboy went to Cole Eiguren who compated in tie-down roping and team roping.
In the first round of the steer wrestling Stan Branco took first with a fast 4.4 second run. Mike McGinn took first in the second round with a 4.7 second run. First in the average went to Tyler Waguespack who had 11.1 seconds on two head.
Jeff Flenniken/Jake Minor took first in the first round of the team roping with a 5.1 second run. In the second round Tyler Tryan/Denton Dunning took first with a 5.1 second run. The average went to Pedro Egurrola/Cory Petska for 10.4 seconds on two head.
Michael Otero took first in the first round of the tie-down roping with a 7.9 second run. In the second round Ty Harris took first with a 7.5 second run. First in the average went to Michael Otero who had 16.2 seconds on two head.
