Although the Elizabeth Commercial Associate began putting on rodeos dating back to 1937, it wasn't until the first Elizabeth Stampede rodeo in 1966 that it became a regularly occurring event each year. In 1988, it became officially sanctioned by the PRCA and has grown to become on of the best within the Mountain State Circuit.
It was held this year on June 8-9 in beautiful Elizabeth, Colorado with proceeds benefiting the Elizabeth Stampede Foundation which helps to preserve the Western legacy of providing support and assistance to those in need from grants and scholarships to helping those within the community battling breast cancer with their Tough Enough to Wear Pink night.
