The Goliad County Fair & PRCA Rodeo was held March 14-16th in Goliad, Texas. This rodeo is part of the Texas circuit and celebrating its 49th year as a PRCA rodeo. Tim Murphy took first in the bareback riding with an 86.5 point ride on Sunset Trail (Smith Pro Rodeos) for $1,070. There was a tie for first in the steer wrestling between Chance Howard and Dirk Tavenner who both had 3.7 second runs for $1,806 each. Reno Stoebner & Tommy Zuniga took first in the team roping with their 5.1 second run for $2,010 each. In the saddle bronc riding, Skinny Parsons took first with his 84 points on Assets (Smith Pro Rodeos) for $1,287. Spencer Street took first in the tie-down roping with his 8.3 second run for $1,762. Ilyssa Riley took first in the barrel racing with her 15.40 second run. And in the bull riding, Jerry Gutierrez, who was one of only three ot have qualified rides took first with his 86.5 point ride on Dash Riprock (Smith Pro Rodeos) to take home $1,517.
Smith Pro Rodeos, New Star Pro Rodeo, United Pro Rodeo, JJ Miller, Jeff Yates, Bobby Joe Hill, Harper & Morgan Rodeo Co and Korkow Rodeos provided the stock. Darran Robertson and Cody Emerson kept the bull riders safe and Clint Hale and Joshua Wordsworth were the pickup men.
