It might still be a bit colder for our neighbors up north and still feel like felt hat season but that isn't slowing down their rodeo season with the Kananaskis Pro Rodeo kicked off last week of April. Spur Lacasse took first in the bareback with a 85 point ride on Lawless of Duane Kesler Championship Rodeo. Baillie Milan took first in the the steer wrestling with a 4.0 sec run. Brady Tryan/Calgary Smith took first in the team roping with a 4.8 sec run. In the saddle bronc riding, Layton Green spurred one out for a first place win with an 87 point ride on Double D Dolly of Championship Rodeo. There was a three way tie in the tie-down roping between Erik Dublanko, Jason Smith, and Clay Elliott who all had 9.4 sec runs. Taylor Manning took first in the barrel racing with a 12.76 sec run. And in the bull riding, Dakota Buttar took first with an 88.5 point ride on Changi Gears of Duane Kesler Championship Rodeo.
