Mackay Rodeo

Mackay Rodeo dubbed the 'Wildest Rodeo in Idaho' took place June 14-15. There were lots of familiar big names in attendance from Josh Frost who was awarded all-around cowboy and placed first in the bull riding with an 88.5 point ride on Western Rodeos' Wee Willy to Rusty Wright who took first in the saddle bronc riding with a beauty of an 82.5 point ride on King Rodeo and Wentz Bucking Bulls' Drew Drewrong. In the team roping Clay Smith/Coleby Payne took first with their fast 5.8 second run. Spencer King took first in the tie-down roping with his 9.6 second run. And in the barrel racing Laura Haight took first with an 18.00 second run.


All-Around Cowboy: Josh Frost, $2,989, bull riding, tie-down roping and team roping.


Bareback Riding:

1. Cooper Cooke, 84 points on Western Rodeos' Coconut Roll, $2,775; 2. Donny Proffit, 83.5, $2,127; 3. (tie) Richmond Champion and Bronc Marriott, 82.5, $1,295 each; 5.
