Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo

The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo was held March 20-22nd in the oldest town in Texas. This small town rodeo has a rich history and fans packed the stands every year. This rodeo is at the heart of this town and many fans have been coming for generations since before it became an official PRCA rodeo in 1981. There were several big names in the rodeo work including several NFR qualifiers that made the trip out to this East Texas town to compete including T Parker, Bridger Anderson, and Jacobs Crawley. Pete Carr Pro Rodeo provided tough bulls and broncs that made the cowboys put in the work to earn a qualified ride. Clay Heger and Cameron Lerma did a solid job keeping the bull riders safe in the arena and Johnny Dudley kept the fans laughing and entertained between events.

Lane Webb took all-around cowboy for competing in tie-down roping and team roping to a $1,066 check. He took fifth in the team roping with heeler Jake South with their 5.6 second run for an additional $450, and fifth in the tie-down roping for his 9.7 second run to another $596.

Bradlee Miller took first in the bareback riding with a big 86 point ride on Pink Smoke for $1,508. Jacob Daniell took first in the steer wrestling with a 3.8 second run for $1,738. Clayton Eggers & Joshua Smitherman took first in the team roping with a 4.6 second run for $1,513 each. There was a tie for first in the tie-down roping between Chase Brooks, on Spotted Charm and Isaac Diaz, on Larry Culpepper, with both riders scoring 82.5 point rides for $1,456 each.
