Parker County Sheriffs Posse Frontier Days and PRCA Rodeo is always a rodeo star studded event and this year was no exception. Leighton Berry, Sage Newman, big dog Will Lummus, and Coleman Proctor were among the big names. The rodeo kicked off in Weatherford, Texas June 5-8 for three days of action packed events in front of full stands of rodeo fans. Leighton Berry took first in the bareback with a big 86.5 point ride on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo's Drinkin Again. Denell Henderson took first in the bulldogging with a fast 3.8 second run. In the team roping Cory Kidd V/Dustin Davis took first with their 4.4 second run. Sage Newman had a solid 87.5 point ride for first place on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo's Downtown. In the tie-down roping Shad Money Mayfield was in the money with a 7.7 second run for first. In the barrel racing Helen Nowosad had a white hot 17.12 second run for first. There were only three qualified rides in the bull riding. Hudson Bolton took first with a big 87.5 point ride on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo's Little Bill. All-around cowboy went to Coleman Protor who competed in the team roping and steer roping.


Kelton McMillen took first in the first round of the steer roping with a 11.2 second run. In the second round Coleman Proctor took first with an 11.1 second run. First in the average went to Kelton McMillen for 23.7 seconds on two head.
