PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Event in Lincoln, Nebraska

It was Flavio Zivieri night on March 29th with Zivieri scoring the the highest marked ride to win his second career event at the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour’s held at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. He had a strong start in Round 1 with a big 85 point ride atop Cadilac Kind (Summit Pro Rodeo). This ride proved high enough to seal his event win despite being bucked off by Wowza (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) in 3.98 seconds in the Championship Round. Zivieri left Lincoln with an additional 108 points towards becoming the 2025 Velocity Tour Champion. Unfortunately, Zivieri was injured in the ride in the Championship Round, which prevented him from competing on the Larry the Cable Guy’s Git-R-Done Bonus Bull Mr. Koolie (Whitney/A Lazy J Rodeo Bulls/Cornwell Bucking Bulls) for the additional in the $10,000 prise.
Mauricio Moreira took second with an 84.5 point ride on The Agenda (5G Farms/S Cattle/Cornwell) in Round 1. He was also unable to capitalize in the Championship Round and was bucked off in 2.2 seconds by Pearl’s Ghost (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger), netting him 68 Velocity Global points. Because of his second place finish, he was able to attempt a ride on Mr Koolie, but the bull sent Moreira flying into the dirt in 2.36 seconds for a 42.5 point bull score. Mr Koolie is one cool bull and out of 59 outs has only been ridden 4 times for an incredible 93.22% buckoff rate.
Taking third place was Yan Victor Cunha and Jess Lockwood who tied going 1 for 2 with matching 83.5 point rides to earn 45 Velocity Global points. Cunha rode Tulsa King (Cornwell Bucking Bulls) and Lockwood was paired with Mystery (Clay Struve/Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger).
There was a three-way tie for fifth between Conner Halverson, Lucas Martins Costa, and Davi Henrique de Lima with all riders scoring an 82 point ride in Round 1 for 25.7 points. Halverson was paired with Air Liner (Summit Pro Rodeo), Costa with Emma’s Pet (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger) and Henrique de Lima with Lord Farquaad (L4 Livestock).
Moving on to the four legged athletes, Midnight Fire (L4 Livestock) and Tyrone (Cornwell Bucking Bulls/Rafter Bar J Cattle) tied for the Bull of the Event honor with 44 point bull scores.
Midnight Fire earned his high score bucking off Leonardo Lima in 1.18 second and Tyrone earned his by unseating Cunha in 4.65 seconds.
