The San Juan Stampede returned to Monticello, Utah on June 6-8 for it's second year after a brief pause due to Covid-19 from 2020-2022. This year featured many top athletes including several that had been in the WNFR previous years. Dean Thompson took first in the bareback riding with a 86.5 point ride. Kodie Jang took first in the steer wrestling with a fast 4.4 second run. In the team roping Clayton Van Aken/Cullen Teller took first with their 4.6 second run. Statler Wright got it done the Wright way with an 85 point ride for first in the saddle bronc riding. In the tie-down roping Riley Pruitt took first with an 8.3 seconds run. Kynzie McNeill took first with her quick 15.14 second run in the barrel racing. There were only three qualified rides in the bull riding. Josh Frost took first with a big 87 point ride. He also was awarded all-around cowboy for competing in the tie-down roping and team roping as well as bull riding.
